EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J., April 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Direct mail marketing company DK Solutions is again supporting reforestation efforts across the United States as part of its 2025 Annual Tree Planting Program initiative with a contribution of 1,500 new trees this April.
In partnership with One Tree Planted, the direct mail company is working to protect our nation’s forests that were devastated by wildfires over the past year. The DK Solutions Annual Tree Planting Program contributes three new trees for every one tree cut down for the mail campaigns the company runs – creating a net positive for the environment.
Last year the nation witnessed numerous wildfires ravaging states from coast to coast, including New Jersey and California. As a New Jersey-based company, co-founders Joel Dickstein and Liran Kapoano were concerned by the devastating impact wildfires can have on the environment, as well as on local communities, and how essential reforestation efforts are to help revive these regions.
“This year everyone I think was pretty shocked and rocked by the Los Angeles wildfire outbreak,” Liran Kapoano said. “So, we decided that would be the place to send our donation this year to replace trees that were lost to wildfires.” Kapoano, who is the company’s Chief Operating Officer, has been interested in reforestation efforts ever since he spent a summer visiting many of the national parks in the United States.
The 2024 NJ wildfires hit home at DK Solutions, as the company’s home state was under constant wildfire threats following one of the worst droughts in 22 years.
On the opposite side of the country, the infamous LA wildfires continue to burn through the California landscape. These wildfires have killed dozens of people and shocked the nation with the scenes of destruction of many iconic Los Angeles locations.
While wildfire threats seem to be increasing in both range and severity with every year, there is still hope. Reforestation efforts have been shown to reduce future wildfire risk, insect infestations, and other disease outbreaks that threaten our forests.
The success of these efforts is major reason for why DK Solutions chose to contribute to the One Tree Planted Forest Fire Fund. Whether it is replanting trees in California or in New Jersey, every forest is essential for future generations to flourish.
